Exceptional Destinations

The leavers’ destinations and pathways of our Upper Sixth students are deeply impressive. Over the last five years, an average of 88% of our students have gone on to their first-choice university, with an average of 77% of students taking up places at prestigious Russell Group institutions. Each year, between 5 and 10% of the cohort take places for Medicine and Allied Sciences. Between a third and a quarter of our cohort apply for places at Oxford or Cambridge universities, with up to 10% achieving offers. Normally, around half of students go on to STEM courses with the other half studying arts, humanities and language degrees.

A number of our students take up exciting degree apprenticeships and, in recent years, these have included apprenticeships with Deloitte, Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, Santander and Barclays. Some of our students go on to global universities and, in recent years, these have included a number of North American and European institutions, including McGill and British Colombia in Canada and the University of Sophia in Bulgaria. Many go off to specialist schools and conservatoires, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Central St Martin’s, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).

Our pupils are bold and ambitious in their choices, with recent destinations including The National Centre for Circus Arts, Oxford Aviation Academy, The British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), and The New College of the Humanities.
