Sixth@King’s is one of the most successful Sixth Forms in the country, having attained the best A level results in Warwickshire in 2018. It is also one of the most vibrant and innovative. We work constantly to enhance and develop the girls’ experience, ensuring the best opportunities, whatever their interests and ambitions.

With nearly 140 years’ experience of educating young women, we empower our girls to know that there are no obstacles which cannot be overcome. The girls' success at both A Level and university are testament to the expert guidance and tutelage they receive from our staff, and the variety of destinations of our leavers shows that whatever a girl’s interests may be, King's can facilitate their success.

We are privileged to be able to prepare each girl for their life beyond school, which is why we place our girls' personal journeys at the heart of all we do. We work in partnership with them to fulfil their ambitions: their journey is our journey; their ambitions are our ambitions. Whatever their aspirations, we are there, side by side with them, throughout their Sixth Form years.

In September 2019 we moved onto our new Foundation Campus, which includes a new Sixth Form Centre for King's High and Warwick School. This outstanding building includes social space, a careers hub, and private study areas.

The following pages give a glimpse of the exciting opportunities we offer. I feel sure that you will be inspired by what you read.

a Message to girls from the Head of Sixth Form

I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed reading about Sixth Form life at King’s and can see what a broad and inspiring programme we offer. I feel incredibly proud to be your Head of Sixth Form and am so excited that we will be the first to experience the unrivalled new facilities of Project One Campus – it will simply be an exhilarating place to study and socialise.

Being part of the Sixth Form will encourage you to aim high and reach your goals. Specialist staff will guide and support you through your academic studies. A dedicated team of form tutors and higher education specialists will assist you with your university applications and further education choices while our careers advisors will guide you with your decisions.

We also encourage you to make the most of the enrichment opportunities available in the Sixth Form. The Sixth Form is the culmination of your time at King’s and you will be able to take on leadership roles as prefects, mentors and through societies, as well as take part in the extensive collaboration programme with Warwick School.

We recognise that Sixth Form study can, at times, be a stressful and worrying time and this is why I am proud of the tradition at King’s to support you and put your wellbeing at the top of our agenda. Specialist staff and external speakers will help you find the right balance to embrace life in the twenty-first century.

I look forward to working with you, supporting you and being part of your journey through the Sixth Form.
