I joined King’s in Year 10 as I moved here from a school in Germany so this is my fourth year at King’s High. For me, the best part about King’s is the people - the girls and teachers were so helpful and welcoming. Joining a new school at any age is hard but my class and new friends made the transition so much easier and I am so grateful to have had them.
King’s affords all of its girls so many opportunities - last year, I had the incredible opportunity to visit both New York for a Drama trip and Russia as part of a History trip, from watching Broadway productions to standing in Stalin’s office, I had the chance to see everything I had learnt about on paper and it was an amazing experience. I also really enjoy being a part of the Drama productions King’s does every year. The stage, lighting and costumes are always incredible, adding a sense of professionalism to our plays and musicals.
The advice I’d give to any girl considering joining King’s Sixth Form would be there is already a lot to worry about when thinking of your future - what course you want to study, where you want to go, which A Levels to choose. One thing you won’t have to worry about is feeling supported. I am constantly surprised at how willing my teachers are to help me, should I need it. There is always someone to calm you down and help you out when UCAS applications and schoolwork gets challenging and I am so appreciative of this.
My hope is to study medicine when I leave and King’s has provided an excellent platform to help me realise my aspirations.
