We welcomed 24 members of Midnite Youth Theatre Company from Perth, Australia between 11-14 January to Warwick as part of their European tour. They were making their fourth visit to Warwick and their production of ‘On the Road to Win Friends and Influence People’ was a superb example of ensemble performance, and fabulous characterisation - all with an inspirational message of positivity and support. It was an exceptional piece of theatre that was enjoyed by the large audience on Friday night.

The group enjoyed workshops alongside our A Level students led by our Director of Drama at King's, Miss Spring, a theatre skills session led by Outreach Manager Miss Tong and a guided tour of the campus led by Mr Perry.

Most importantly, during their visit, they stayed with host families from across the Foundation and got to sample life in a British home complete with roast dinners, cooked breakfasts and family gatherings. Some had the chance to meet distant family members and all were perfect guests.

Homestays like this are now very rare, and we are rightly proud of the huge benefits that our families these young people by welcoming guests so warmly. We’re really grateful to everyone who offered to host one or more of these wonderful young people.

We wish the group well on the rest of their tour and look forward to seeing them again soon.
